An emerging concensus - the time to act is now!

Since 2002, the Alliance to End Hunger has regularly conducted bi-partisan opinion surveys through the Hunger Message Project to better understand American attitudes about issues of hunger and poverty and how best to communicate with voters.

4.  Voters are willing to spend more on hunger programs

5.  Voters seek multiple approaches against hunger and poverty

6.  Domestic hunger is attracting increased attention and support for international aid remains strong

7.  There is an opening for a real debate on trade policy

8.  Voters see significant room for improvement in the Farm Bill

9.  Hunger and poverty are key moral issues

10.  Moral and practical arguments must be paired together by advocates

11.  Fraud is not the major concern, government effectiveness is
